Fed Up BJP Chief Goes To Geneva On Holiday!

Amidst intense war of words between the Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party following the break-up of alliance between the two parties over Special Category Status and other issues, BJP’s Andhra Pradesh unit chief Kambhampati Hari Babu has quietly left on a summer vacation to Geneva.

According to party sources, Hari Babu was terribly upset with some of his senior colleagues for attempting to dislodge him from the party chief post.

Apparently, Hari Babu is considered to be a close confidant of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who in turn is closer to TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

All the three belong to same community. And this has led to the talk that Hari Babu has been soft towards Chandrababu Naidu.

The appointment of Ram Madhav as the party in-charge of Andhra affairs has also disturbed Hari Babu and hence he quietly left to Geneva on a holiday, sources said.

It is learnt the party is looking for a replacement for Hari Babu and has considered a few names like Somu Veerraju, Daggubati Purandeshwari and Kanna Lakshminarayana.

However, Ram Madhav is said to be favouring former endowments minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao as the successor of Hari Babu.

Though Manikyala Rao is also an aggressive leader, he had been part of the Naidu cabinet for nearly four years.

So, he wants to make any wild allegations against the state government, he has to think twice, say political analysts.
