Fans Unhappy With Runtime of Rangasthalam

Fans pinned lot of hopes on Ram Charan’s upcoming Friday release Rangasthalam. The film directed by Sukumar had completed censor formalities with a U/A certificate. So decks are clear for smooth release of the film on March 30.

Although fans are happy to know that the film is all set to hit the marquee, they are particularly not happy about its locked runtime.

The film’s runtime is locked at 179 minutes, which is pretty long for today’s standards. Fans want the runtime to be cut short by 30 minutes. A few fans reportedly approached Charan expressing their concerns.

However, team Rangasthalam had a long debate over the runtime for many days and went with the cut finalized by director Sukumar. 179 minutes is long but it shouldn’t be an issue if the film is engaging enough.

There are many blockbusters with a runtime of over 179 minutes. Audience doesn’t mind sitting for an extra ten minutes if the movie is done right.
