Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah seems to have come under the firing range of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao.
According to sources, Rajaiah might be shown the door anytime for his alleged irresponsible statements on swine flu, which has taken more than 20 lives in Telangana so far.
Indications to Rajaiah’s ouster were evident from the big article published in KCR’s mouth piece Namasthe Telangana which castigated the Dy CM for his failure in checking swine flu epidemic.
In fact, KCR has been extremely unhappy with Rajaiah ever since he was inducted into the cabinet. The Chief Minister pulled him up several times for making tall promises before people, such as establishment of Health University at Warangal.
As everybody knows KCR does not want any of his ministers to make promises, since he wants to take credit for all the schemes and programmes.
Secondly, he is under pressure to accommodate Konda Surekha in the cabinet. But as long as Rajaiah is there, Surekha who also hails from Warangal district, cannot get the berth. So, KCR has been waiting for the opportunity. And swine flu epidemic came as an excuse to sack Rajaiah, who miserably failed to handle the situation.
