Fact Sheet: Lokesh Does It Again!

Fact Sheet: Lokesh Does It Again!

Not a single day passes without Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister not getting into news for wrong reasons.

Whether it is for his comments in public or on his social media platform Twitter, or for his overaction in his official works, Lokesh always gets into controversies.

Remember, on the India's Independence day on Wednesday, Lokesh triggered controversy by hoisting national flag atop his residence and taking police salute on the terrace along with his wife and son.

On Thursday, he once again incurred the wrath of his netizens with his controversial tweet condoling the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The tweet reads like this: "India has lost one of its greatest sons whose contribution to politics, literature and diplomacy remains unmatched. The Telugu states have lost a dear friend who along with @ncbn played a key role in shaping their aspirations. We will miss you Sir #AtalBihariVaajpayeeJi — Lokesh Nara (@naralokesh)"

While there is nothing wrong with the tribute, what irritated the netizens for adding his father, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's name to the tribute.

By saying that Vajpayee along with @ncbn played a key role in shaping the of the people, Lokesh sought to equate Naidu with Vajpayee and say both strived together for people's welfare.

This looks absurd. Why should he prop up Naidu while condoling the death of a great leader and Bharat Ratna Vajpayee?
