KCR is highly elated after the denial of special status to Andhra Pradesh. He was seriously concerned that the awarding of 'special status' to AP, would result in the migration of industries from Hyderabad to AP and 'Brand Hyderabad' would take a beating.
However, the duo of Modi and Amit Shah has proved themselves to be as bad as the UPA in not living up to the expectations of the Andhra people.
What’s more, while AP is struggling for funds currently because of this betrayal, the 14th Finance Commission has declared that Telangana is all set to become a revenue surplus state soon.
So overjoyed is KCR at the turn of events that there has hardly been a whimper of protest to Chandrababu’s tour of Telangana.
Yet, KCR would do well to take cognizance of the fact that it is the Andhra people who made Hyderabad what it is today. There might be temporary suffering for the people of AP, but their hard-working nature would soon ensure that AP is put back on the road to development and prosperity even without any support from the politicians.
On the other hand, Telangana is yet to come out of its hangover following the celebrations of its statehood.
