When the 'call money' scandal was exposed causing great discomfiture to the TDP, CBN immediately made it a state-wide issue by implicating money lenders of all sorts across AP and having them arrested.
It is inevitable that some of them may owe allegiance to the YSRCP. Thereby, he tried to pull the opposition into the scandal and score political points. He is doing the same now with the ‘Tuni violence’ issue.
Speaking at an event in Delhi, he said that YSRCP cadre from Kadapa had resorted to the violence in Tuni and termed them as more dangerous than terrorists.
He said that he would clamp down on them with an iron hand for destroying public property and disrupting law and order.
To date, there has not been an iota of proof to back CBN’s statement. In fact, majority of the people named in the FIR belong to Krishna and Guntur districts.
Mudragadda Padmanabham has been charged in 60 cases. Yet, he has not been taken into custody. But the CM instead chooses to lash out at the YSRCP to taint them politically. Haven’t we seen it all before?
