Ex-CBI JD Lakshminarayana Quits Job For Politics!

Remember V V Lakshminarayana, former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation who shot into limelight with his alleged witch-hunt of YSR Congress party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in 2012?

Well, it’s long time one has heard of this IPS officer after he was transferred back to his parent state of Maharashtra, though he appears in the news now and then with his lectures for students on morals and ethics.

Now, this gentleman is back in the news. On Thursday, Lakshminarayana resigned from his job – to say precisely, he took voluntary retirement from his job. He was relieved from his duties immediately.

Though officially it is said the 1990-bath IPS officer had taken the voluntary retirement as he was upset with the loop-line posting in Maharashtra, sources said the main reason for his decision is that he is planning to join politics.

It is not exactly known which party he is going to join, but there is a talk that he might join Jana Sena Party of Pawan Kalyan. Another section feels he might choose the TDP.

At the time of VRS, he belonged to the rank of Additional General of Police. It is also learnt Lakshminarayana, who played a key role in Jagan’s case, has been under pressure because of the growing proximity between the YSR Congress party and the Centre.

Born and brought up in Srisailam, Lakshminarayana led several investigations like OMC Scandal, Emaar Properties, Satyam Scandal, besides Jagan’s case.
