English Problems For Telugu MPs

MPs who speak fluently in Telugu in the State are facing language problems while addressing the Lok Sabha.

Well, from among 47 MPs, barring 13 MPs, others are not very fluent in English. Naturally, most of them are resorting to sharpening their Hindi-speaking skills as mastering English is relatively difficult.

Srikakulam MP Ram Mohan Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju from Vijayanagaram, Sujana Choudhary and Galla Jayadev from Guntur and Butta Renuka from Kurnool are among those who speak really well.

Meanwhile in Telangana, there is Vinod Kumar, Narsaiah Goud and Kavitha. These MPs apart, others are having a tough time while addressing the House.

In fact, MPs like Thota Narasimham and Avanthi Srinivas write down their speeches and read them out in the House. So talk is that once the MPs set up base in Delhi, they tend to sharpen their Hindi speaking skills as most of them are relatively good at the language.

Of course, the same cannot be said of MPs from Andhra as their Hindi is often weak too. But the silver lining is that as long as they speak in some language, they will be able to present the problems of people of Telugu-speaking states.
