Emboldened by Delhi Verdict!

The Delhi elections finally put an end to the winning streak of the BJP. More importantly, it shattered the myth of invincibility around the BJP much to the delight of its detractors.

Emboldened by the rout of the BJP at the hands of AAP, voices of dissensions are now being heard, loud and clear. Mohammad Hidayat, Chairman of AP State Minorities Finance Corporation and TDP member has called for his Party to sever ties with the BJP.

“The BJP has failed to fulfill the promises on special status, special package and other incentives for the State. The TDP will be better off without the BJP as an ally,” said Hidayat.

Interestingly, Hidayat also said that the BJP led NDA government is discriminating against the minorities in AP. This is just an empty statement for there have been no such indications or instances of late!

On the whole, it is not surprising to see a Muslim calling for a break up with BJP and the special status issue has come in handy on this particular occasion.
