Veteran political leader and Telangana Rashtra Samithi Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas seems to be facing the biggest crisis of his life.
Facing the allegations of indulging in anti-party activities from the TRS leaders led by none other than party president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, DS is virtually being hounded out of the party.
With KCR has not giving him any audience to explain his version, DS has realised that his days in the TRS are numbered.
At the same time, DS is not in a position to stage a comeback into the Congress party, in which he had wielded tremendous power before he joined the TRS in 2014.
He is facing a stiff resistance from the Congress party leaders, particularly from Nizamabad district, though the PCC leadership has a little soft corner towards him.
Even seniors like V Hanumantha Rao and Madhu Yashki are strongly opposing his re-entry into the Congress.
So, DS had no option but to remain silent. Now, the latest reports say DS is contemplating joining the Bharatiya Janata Party to test his political fortunes.
Apparently, his younger son Dharmapuri Aravind, who is already playing active role in the BJP is pressurising him to join the BJP.
It is learnt he is in negotiating with top BJP leadership at the Centre and might take a decision sooner or later.
But with the fate of BJP in the Telugu states being uncertain, one doubts whether DS will be able to get back his glory in the saffron party.
