Senior MLA and ex minister T Jeevan Reddy has requested the KCR government to stop treating Telangana people like thieves.
Reminding KCR that the T leaders went to the same people to seek votes, Jeevan Reddy said it would suffice if one person per household is available for the survey, instead of the government insisting that all family members be present on that day.
It was not appropriate for KCR to say that marriages must be cancelled for people to participate in the survey, said Reddy.
He added that CM directing that even kitchens and TVs must be checked was not right.
Similarly, going into houses of social and religious minorities in the name of survey might not be correct, he opined.
KCR must understand that labour who earn daily wages may not have much to disclose and this survey might hurt their dignity, pointed out Jeevan Reddy.
