Despite Naidu talk, Amaravati still on paper!

Despite Naidu talk, Amaravati still on paper!

It has been nearly two years since Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation for the new capital city of Amaravati for Andhra Pradesh.

Except the construction of temporary secretariat, the rest of the capital city is still only on paper and the real work is yet to begin.

But, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu continued to create illusionary designs about Amaravati and make tall claims, stating that Amaravati is going to be the world class city.

Of late, he has coined a different term – world’s best city, rather than just world class city, which he says is going to be the global destination for investments and employment.

Ironically, the master plan for Amaravati is yet to be finalised and the latest development is that the chief minister has constituted two more committees to look into the designs of the structures, including bridges across river Krishna are in the final stage.

He is still creating imaginative illusions stating that the bridges would be in the form of Kuchipudi dance, reflecting the Telugu culture. Naidu feels it will be a special attraction for the tourists.

Though Naidu says the works would be completed within next six months, the works are still at the tender stage and hence, it is impossible to complete them. So, can we believe Naidu?
