It has been a long time since one had heard about Telugu Desam Party MP from Hindupur Nimmala Kishtappa. He was neither seen nor heard at any of the party meetings in the recent past – whether it was mini mahanadu in Anantapur or Mahanadu held at Tirupati.
Sources said Kishtappa is peeved at the way he is being ignored by the party leadership for quite some time. In his previous tenure, he was holding a lot of responsibility in Lok Sabha, but this time, somehow he has been completely sidelined with leaders like Sujana Chowdary and C M Ramesh calling shots.
Even in Hindupur, Kishtappa seems to have lost importance, as the TDP leaders are giving more importance to Nandamuri Balakrishna, local MLA. As a result, he is feeling disgusted and has been keeping away from party activities. “He is focussing on his agriculture, rather than politics,” says a source.
