Corruption Begins In Velagapudi!

Corruption Begins In Velagapudi!

It is hardly a month since the entire Andhra Secretariat moved to its new complex at Velagapudi in Amaravati and officials are yet to settle down completely. But, for corruption, there is no such hurdles.

On Friday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau authorities have caught one Srinath, a section officer of the home department, red-handed while he was accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 from a person to give a certificate. This is considered to be the first ACB case in the new Secretariat complex after the AP administration shifted there.

For those who believe that AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has started everything at Amaravati with a clean slate, it could be a big news; but for common people, it is no big deal, as corruption has become a routine affair in his administration. In fact, the construction of new capital Amaravati itself has begun on the foundation of corruption.

Yatha Raja, tatha praja…!
