Cong Loyalist Fumes At High Command!

Cong Loyalist Fumes At High Command!

One has never heard a senior Congress party leader like V Hanumanth Rao making any comment against the party, let alone party leadership.

He is a die-hard loyalist of the Gandhi family which has been heading the party for decades and he would react strongly if somebody makes any comment against the party, Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi.

So, when such a staunch loyalist of the Congress party openly expressed his disgruntlement against the party high command, it is definitely taken seriously.

On Wednesday, VH spoke very critical about the high command for ignoring party seniors from Telangana or Andhra Pradesh in constituting the Congress Working Committee, the highest policy making body of the party.

Not a single leader from the Telugu states could find a place in the 50-member CWC, which includes 18 regular members, 23 permanent invitees and nine special invitees.

Though P Sanjeeva Reddy was included in the capacity of INTUC president as permanent invitee, he has never been an active politician from the state but only a trade union leader.

“I was shocked to see the CWC list. It is unfortunate that the high command did not find even a single leader from Telangana or Andhra Pradesh to be eligible for appointment in the CWC. Why have they not considered seniors like me or former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy? This is atrocious on the part of high command,” he said.

There were expectations that at least Jaipal Reddy or for that matter senior leader like K Jana Reddy would find a place in the CWC from Telangana.

And from Andhra Pradesh, names of seniors like J D Seelam, M M Pallam Raju and Kishore Chandra Deo were expected. But Rahul did not find any of suitbale for his own reasons.

One wonders what message the party high command wants to give by ignoring the Telugu states, while expecting to come to power in Telangana and get back its identity in Andhra.
