There is a similarity in the approach of both ruling parties of the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In Telangana, whenever the TDP raises an issue in the Assembly, the TRS is quick to brand them as paid-agents of Andhras and mocks their concern over Telangana. Thus the TRS tries to make use of emotions as a political tool to sideline major issues.
Now Chandrababu Naidu seems to have taken a cue from his counterpart KCR’s behavior.
When YSRCP and Jagan criticized the ‘Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme’ saying it was a drain on the exchequer and corruption was rampant in the awarding of tenders, Chandrababu retorted saying that Jagan was hand-in-glove with KCR and was trying to block the project.
Thus Chandrababu is trying to make use of the Andhras hatred of KCR in his favor by allying Jagan with KCR. Of course, the reasons why Jagan and KCR are opposed to the ‘Pattiseema’ project are completely different!
Unable to give a rational basis for his decision, Naidu in the route of KCR is trying to make use of emotion that is completely immune to logic, to take on Jagan.
