Clamour For The Hot Seat

Clamour For The Hot Seat

APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has already pitched his tent in Delhi. Given the present situation, if the Centre does not choose to impose President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh, then it will have to appoint a make-do chief minister for the next three months before the elections.

So, Botsa is trying hard to grab the offer if it were to come by. Also, since he is the PCC chief, his presence in Delhi will help the High Command to coordinate better with him.

While it is clear that the new CM will hold the position for three months before the general elections, various leaders from Telangana and Seemandhra are lobbying hard to become the next CM of the united state.

Of course, apart from getting into the history books, the duration will not serve any purpose.

Yet, many senior Congress leaders like Botsa, Anam, Kanna, Raghuveea Reddy, Chiranjeevi are in the fray.

However, the Telangana Congress leaders are insisting that it would be in the party’s best interests to pick a CM from the Telanagana region as it would strengthen the party’s presence in the region during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Union minister Jaipal Reddy, deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha, minister Jana Reddy, PCC chief D Srinivas, minister Geeta Reddy are among those who are vying for the coveted post from Telangana.

Whoever becomes the next CM, there is intense competition and craze for the CM’s post which will last only for three months!
