Chiru's RS Term Ends, Good-bye to Politics!

Megastar Chiranjeevi will be bidding good-bye to politics very soon, sources close to the actor inform us. His Rajya Sabha term ends with the ongoing parliament session. And this time, he hasn't got a renewal.

He got elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh by the Congress party in 2012. He served as the union minister for Tourism in previous UPA government.

Chiranjeevi has stopped being active in AP politics just prior to the release of “Khaidi No 150”. The movie’s massive success gave him the confidence to continue his acting career in his second innings.

Since his political stint is a flop show, he is not interested in politics at all. He left the space for his younger brother Pawan Kalyan who floated the Jana Sena party.

Sources say he will not declare he is quitting politics, though he will not actively participate in party's affairs. This is precisely why he is not spelling out his opinion on special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”. Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is expected to join the shoot this weekend.

On the other hand, Chiru will be working for director Sukumar’s film next year.
