Chandra Babu has been accused in the Revanth Reddy-Stephenson case and the tapes of his conversation are out.
He could have easily said that the tapes are fake and that recording a conversation is against law. Also, he could have blamed TRS for conspiring against him.
But Babu seems to be least bothered and seems to be keen on getting his son Lokesh to take over from him. In fact, it has to be said that Babu is indeed very lucky as he came to power at a time when everyone wrote him off.
However, unlike last time, Babu is now preparing to give away power to Lokesh by 2019 and is making all the necessary changes to this affect.
Lokesh has already started a fund for party workers and is now in-charge of it, though technically he is already handling party matters.
Wonder how Jagan would do by then and how the people will react to TDP then. Of course, Babu who won the elections by blaming Jagan and the Congress, is busy with the new capital zone. Meanwhile, Lokesh is preparing for 2019 elections.
So, How Will Lokesh Become The CM?
It is known that Chandra Babu has been accused in the ‘note for vote’ case and he can easily use it to his advantage by resigning on moral grounds. Once that is done, he can get Lokesh to act as the de facto leader and he can run the show from behind.
For starters, he can appoint some committee to look into the development of capital zone or set up some committee like Andhra committee, appoint Lokesh as its chairman and eventually hand over all power to Lokesh. Meanwhile, Babu can look after capital zone, industries, etc.
This would help him showcase that he has some moral values and also ensure that Lokesh does not have any opposition once he comes to power in 2019.
Of course, no one knows how people will respond after four years, but at least Chandra Babu is doing his bit to make the best use of opportunity that has been presented to him.
