Centre Tried To Stall No. 1 Rank To AP?

Telugu Desam Party and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is not losing any opportunity to attack his erstwhile political ally Bharatiya Janata Party and the Central government, since it is the only way he can get some political mileage.

In fact, though Naidu parted ways with the BJP, the NDA government has given the immense recognition by awarding No. 1 position to the state in Ease of Doing Business.

Naturally, such a recognition has brought a good mileage to Naidu, as he can claim that because of his government efforts, industrial investment climate has improved a lot as is evident from the top ranking.

But Naidu does not want to give any credit to the Centre. So, he started making allegations against it saying the BJP government at the Centre had in fact tried to stall the no. 1 rank to the state.

“They made every attempt to see that we don’t get the top rank. They removed certain parametres which would have given much more advantage to us. In spite of all that, AP has satisfied all the parametres and they had no option but to give the top rank,” Naidu said at a meeting of party functionaries in Amaravati.

He pointed out that the Centre had taken feedback even from industries before awarding the Ease of Doing Business rankings.

“Everybody gave a positive report to Andhra Pradesh. They have shown immense faith in our state. It is a symbol of our efficient,  sincere and corruption-free administration,” Naidu claimed.
