Centre Taking It Easy On Naidu?

The Central government headed by Narendra Modi is learnt to have attached little significance to the complaints made by TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao in the phone tapping issue and cash-for-vote scam.

Modi, who got all the information from the Central intelligence sources well in advance, reportedly took it easy on Naidu’s complaints. Added to this, Governor E S L Narasimhan also submitted a factual report on the episode, which only projected Naidu in bad light.

The Governor of the two Telugu States closeted with the Prime Minister for some time and briefed him on the Revanth Reddy’s case that rattled the TDP Government. Narsimhan is learnt to have briefed him on political slugfest between Naidu and KCR.

The meeting assumes significance in the wake of a section of the media in the national capital and Hyderabad writing stories that Naidu sought immediate replacement of Narsimhan with some other.

Even a belligerent Chandrababu gone beyond imagination and an extent in Delhi that the TRS Government will collapse instantly after KCR gets him arrested in this scam.

Though it is unclear that the Governor is said to have touched upon the issue with Prime Minister Modi, it was being stated that the Centre is reluctant to the pressure mounted by Naidu to order an inquiry on phone tapping and “cash-for-vote” episode.

The Centre is understood to have asked the Governor to control the things in Hyderabad itself before they reach New Delhi and ignore for time-being Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act that gives him vast powers in the common capital area with regard to law and order.
