The YSR Congress party’s attempt to gain political mileage from the internal bickering in the Telugu Desam Party in Guntur district seems to have backfired with the timely intervention of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
More than anybody else, it was YSR Congress party leaders who had reacted sharply on the complaint lodged by Guntur Zilla Parishad chairperson Sheik Jani Moon against AP social welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu stating that there was a life threat to her from him.
YSRC leaders like R K Roja and Ambati Rambabu did not lose any time in alleging that there was no security to women in the TDP regime and demanded that action be taken against Ravela for threatening a women representative.
Even before the YSRC leaders laid a bait for the ZP chairperson, Naidu intervened and appointed a three-member committee to look into the issue. But even before the committee began its work, both Jani Moon and Ravela came to a compromise with the intervention of the party leaders. They held discussions with both of them and persuaded them to resolve all their differences. As a result both of them announced they have resolved differences among them.
Later she told media persons that she had explained her grievances’ to the ministers, who assured to settle all of them. Trusting them, she said she is closing the tussle. She expressed her gratitude to all those extended their `moral’ support to her during this hour of hardships.
