Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu might have managed to wriggle out of the cash-for-vote scam in the high court on technical grounds, but it is difficult for him to escape from the case which has now gone to the Supreme Court.
This was stated by senior Supreme Court advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, who is arguing the case on behalf of YSR Congress party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy.
“He might have obtained stay in several instances in the past and escaped from prosecution, but this time we have all the evidences to nail him. It is just impossible to get out of it,” the lawyer said.
He pointed out that the forensic report clearly established that the voice sample in the audio tape which had the words: “Mana Vaallu briefed me.. (Our people briefed me) was indeed that of Chandrababu Naidu. “We are pretty confident that we are going to win the case,” Reddy said.
And in the first instance, it is a moral defeat for Naidu to get the notice from the Supreme Court on the same day of commencement of the first assembly session in Amaravati.
