Cases Against Jagan Can't Be Proved!

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is unlikely to get convicted in the quid pro quo cases filed against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation as the cases cannot be proved at all.

This was the opinion expressed by former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar.

Participating in a television live show, he said the CBI had not found anything new in the investigation against Jagan, as it had only reiterated what was there in the complaint given by the complainants.

“The CBI has no evidences to prove that Jagan had got investments from the companies only because they had got the benefits from his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, when the latter was the chief minister.

There were no special favour to these companies, as they got the land and other benefits like any other industry as per the government policy.

So, how can it be proved that they had invested in Jagan’s companies only because of YSR favoured them? If at all anybody has to be blamed for it, it should be YSR, who is anyway not alive now,” Vundavalli said.

He reminded that not a single case of quid pro quo was proved in any of the Indian courts so far.

“As such, it is just impossible to send Jagan to jail, as the allegations against him are not of very serious nature,” he asserted.

Vundavalli said he had soft corner towards Jagan, as a son of YSR.

“But that does not mean, I will join his party. There is every chance that he can become the next chief minister if he plays his cards correctly.

And if Jagan becomes the chief ministers, it makes things easy for me as most of his would-be ministerial colleagues are my good friends and I can get my works done.

If Naidu comes back to power again, I cannot go to his ministers, because I don’t know them much,” the former MP said.
