Can Revant Bring Anti-TRs Forces Together?

Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy’s resignation from the Telugu Desam Party and his decision to join the Congress party led to the talk whether it would lead to realignment of political forces in the state.

“The real game has begun now,” said Revanth, who appeared relaxed after resigning from the TDP.

He called for a meeting of his followers from across Telangana at Jala Vihar at Necklace Road on Monday.

“All those who have been fighting against the dictatorial government of Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao can attend the meeting. I will announce my future course of action there,” he said.

Revanth said he would make all out efforts to bring all political and apolitical forces under one platform to fight against KCR.

“I will demolish the KCR fort in Telangana, just like we demolished the zamindari fort in Kodangal,” he said.

Sources said Revanth had proposed to the Congress high command to continue the experiment of the Singareni trade union elections wherein the Congress, the Telangana TDP and the Left parties had joined together to put up a tough fight against the TRS-led union.

Though the grand alliance concept did not work there because of the TRS money and muscle power, it would definitely work out in the general elections.

Already, several mass organisations are building up their movements against the TRS government and the Congress can bring all those organisations together, it would definitely help the party in the next elections, say sources quoting Revanth.
