Buzz: TDP MLA Disappears Again!

Telugu Desam Party MLA from Kakinada (rural) Pilli Anantalakshmi went into hiding once again.

Reason: She feels ignored and isolated in the party, thanks to domination of her rival group within the party, who have been spreading the rumours that she might not get the party ticket in the next elections.

Anantalakshmi made her absence conspicuous at the Kakinada Beach Festival which began on Tuesday, though it happened in her own constituency.

The officials tried to contact her but she remained inaccessible for them. Her followers and several people representatives — MPTCs, ZPTCs from Kakinada too skipped the event.

Even the efforts of the Ministers in the district Kala Venkatarao, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa went in vain when they tried to contact and convince Anantalakshmi and her husband Sattibabu.

Sources said though the festival is an official function, Anantalakshmi did not get enough number of VIP passes and the officials told her that it was not possible to concede her demand. This has made the MLA angry.

The party men are questioning the officials as to why there was a regulation in issuing the passes to the event which is being held in TDP MLA's constituency.

Last year, too, Anantalakshmi faced bitter experience when the TDP leaders had ignored calling her husband onto the stage during the Beach Festival.

Her supporters and party workers expressed anger and staged protest for not inviting MLA's husband to the stage. Although the event was a formal one, there was no protocol to call Anantalakshmi's husband to the stage.
