If the reports from the Telugu Desam Party sources are to be believed, Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani is also keen on entering politics before 2019 elections.
Sources say there is a specific reason for the Telangana TDP leaders putting forth a demand before Naidu at a meeting on Thursday to bring Brahmani into politics and make her lead the party in Telangana.
Apparently, Naidu’s son and IT minister Nara Lokesh has hinted to them, when they met him in Vijayawada the other day, that Brahmani was making a lot of enquiries about the party, especially its position in Telangana.
Though it is not exactly known what is in her mind, there is a talk that Brahmani may make a grand entry into politics a few months before the next elections to bring some fresh element into the party.
If she really comes, she would be no doubt a star campaigner for the party because she has the glamour as well as intellect to attract the people.
The Telangana TDP leaders want to her to lead the party and contest from Telangana, but it is highly unlikely as if at all she enters the politics, she will definitely prefer Andhra Pradesh and most probably contest the Lok Sabha elections.
“She has all the abilities to become a leader. She has proved her leadership capabilities in Heritage and she can repeat the show even in politics,” a party source said.
