BJP Overestimates Itself In TS, AP!

The Bharatiya Janata Party is overestimating its strength in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at least on paper and feels that it has all the chances of coming to power in at least one of the two states in 2019.

The party national leadership is said to have decided to rope in its Telugu warriors – Ram Madhav, P Muralidhar Rao and G V L Narasimha Rao into the field to rejuvenate the party in the Telugu states.

And they have started touring different parts of Telangana and Andhra giving impression to the cadre that the BJP would emerge as major political force to tackle the ruling parties in these states.

Narasimha Rao, who has been camping in Hyderabad for the last two days, said Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s attempt to float a third front would be futile, as nobody has faith in the group of regional parties.

“The only agenda of these parties is to project Modi as a villain, but more they attempt it, the more will be the strength of the BJP,” he said.

He said the BJP was in power in 21 States at present.

“We have confident of gaining foothold in Andhra and Telangana after the 2019 polls. As our party is going to emerge victorious in Telangana. That is why KCR is running from pillar to post to stall the BJP by resorting to mudslinging against Prime Minister Modi," the BJP leader criticised.

The Rajya Sabha member made it clear that the BJP would not forge alliance with any political party either in TS or AP.

He exuded confidence that the party would emerge as a larger political party in South India by winning Karnataka Assembly polls, besides strengthening its base in the two Telugu-speaking States.
