Of late, senior BJP leaders of the national level have been showering praises on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, much to the disgruntlement of local BJP leaders like Kishan Reddy and Lakshman.
If Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya praised KCR on Saturday for the construction of double-bed room houses for weaker sections, it was the turn of his senior colleague M Venkaiah Naidu to lavish praises on the Telangana Chief Minister on Sunday.
Stating that the Centre has started “houses to all” scheme, Venkaiah opined that the gigantic housing program would be successful only if both the Centre and States put in joint efforts.
He said the Telangana government was working towards that end and complimented Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for launching housing program with the target of completion of houses by 2022.
Apparently, the BJP is trying to woo the TRS into the NDA fold, if not now, but by 2019 elections.
It requires a potential and powerful ally from Telangana, if the NDA has to retain power in the next elections. And there is no better ally than the TRS, say sources.
