Bifurcation Led To Enmity Among Employees

The Congress-led UPA government might have divided the State easily, but the after- effects of the bifurcation are now being felt gradually.

The employees in the Secretariat who are already divided on regional lines are now resorting to physical clashes.

On Thursday, tension prevailed for a while in the Secretariat when the Telangana and AP employees indulged in heated arguments over who should sit where in the D and L Blocks.

When the Telangana employees asked their AP counterparts to vacate D block allocated to Telangana, the latter refused to do so. This led to minor scuffle between the employees of the both States. In another incident in the L Block, which was allocated to Andhra Pradesh, the AP employees forced the Telangana staff to vacate immediately.

All files belonging to the Telangana State were tied into bundles. The AP employees did not respond positively to the request of Telangana employees for some time. This led to heated verbal war among the employees of both the States. The Telangana employees lodged a complaint with their superiors.
