It looks like Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who has defected from the YSR Congress party into the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra, is growing impatient these days, as he has almost lost his relevance even in Kurnool politics.
While the local TDP leaders and cadre are still reluctant to welcome Bhuma’s entry into the TDP, his own followers have been staying away from him.
He is almost feeling isolated in the district. He, however, is of the view that he would get back his glory once he becomes a minister in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. However, there has been no such move from Naidu on cabinet reshuffle or expansion as of now.
That is why Bhuma is feeling a little inconvenient in the TDP. When media persons confronted him in the Assembly lobbies on Wednesday, he said he was waiting and watching for his next move.
When asked when he was going to become a minister, a visibly upset Bhuma said: “I am also eager to know when I will get the Cabinet berth.”
He was also a little irritated when asked whether any other YSRC leader from his constituency was joining the TDP.
“If you have anybody in mind, please let me know. I will convince him to join the TDP,” he said.
