The Congress leaders in Andhra Pradesh, particularly those from Rayalaseema region, who have lost hope on their political future, seem to be looking towards YSR Congress party as the only alternative to survive.
If one would notice, it is these Congress leaders who have reacted more strongly to the “poaching” of the YSR Congress party MLAs by the Telugu Desam Party, than the aggrieved party itself.
Take for example, Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghurveera Reddy, who hails from Anantapur. He lashed out at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for purchasing the Opposition MLAs “like cattle in shandy.”
He demanded that Naidu should make all those defectors resign and contest the elections again. Sources said Raghuveera is waiting for an opportunity to make a plunge into the Jagan party.
Another Congress leader who is looking towards YSR Congress party is said to be C Ramachandraiah. He is leaving no opportunity to attack Naidu and the TDP, whether it is on poaching of MLAs or suspension of Roja.
He alleged that the Centre had totally neglected Andhra Pradesh in the latest Union budget, only because of the massive corruption in the TDP government.
