Senior actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna has not forgotten his role as a people’s representative, in spite of his serious commitments in Tollywood.
Apparently realizing that he has a role to play as a politician, Balakrishna who got elected as an MLA from Hindupur in the recent Assembly elections started getting in touch with the people of his constituency.
As a first initiative to fulfill his election promises, the Hindupur MLA on Friday launched road laying works. He laid foundation stone for 25km long road between Hindupur and Somandepalli being constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crores.
Balakrishna also performed bhoomi puja for construction of a water plant for providing drinking water to Hindupur. He said the TDP would fulfill all promises given to the people during elections.
Good beginning, indeed!
