Babu Among Charge-sheeted In 'Note For Vote' Case

Hyderabad: The 'note for vote' case that has created a sensation of sorts in the Telugu speaking states has taken a new turn now.

AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu's name has been included in the charge-sheet by ACB officials. And it is being said that Babu's name has been mentioned numerous times in the charge-sheet.

Though it was widely believed that Babu's name would be excluded following his trips to New Delhi and his stoic silence regarding the special status of Andhra Pradesh, now, Chandra Babu is in big trouble finally.

It is known that Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed by ACB officials while bribing nominated MLC Stephenson during the Telangana MLC elections.

Now, the conversation between Revanth Reddy and Stephenson has become public and the audio tapes have also been released. During the conversation, Revanth Reddy had mentioned the term 'boss' many times and the ACB has carried out an enquiry on who the boss was.

Apart from Revanth Reddy, ACB has also included the names of Udaya Simha and Sebastian among others in the case. As a part of the enquiry, ACB officials grilled many TDP politicians and those working under them.

It is now common knowledge that the conversation between Chandra Babu and Stephenson has all been made public and it has been established that Chandra Babu did talk to Stephenson prior to the MLC elections. Later, Revanth Reddy was caught bribing Stephenson asking him to support the TDP members in the elections.

However, till now, Chandra Babu has been silent about his conversation with Stephenson. He has neither denied nor acknowledged the conversation. When he was in New Delhi, he was questioned by national media, but Chandra Babu replied without giving a direct answer.

Now, looks like Babu will be busy dealing with the 'note for vote' case for days to come.
