AP Govt Warns Officers And Staff Against 'Media Leaks'!

With series of 'adverse and negative reports' on Andhra Pradesh government being published in some newspapers with documentary evidence, especially in 'Saakshi' newspaper, owned by Opposition leader Y S Jagan, the AP government on Wednesday warned officers and employees of 'stringent disciplinary action' if they reveal any information to media.

The AP finance department issued a warning saying that if any officer or employees resorts to 'media leaks', it will be viewed seriously and stringent disciplinary action will be intiated as per provisions of the AP Civil Services Conduct Rules, 1964.

The government warned that according to Rule-14 of "AP Civil Service Conduct rules,1964,  "no government employee shall, except accordance with any general or special order of the government, communicate directly or indirectly any official document or any of its contents or any official information to any government employee not authorised to receive the same, or to any non official person or to the press".

The finance department directed  all the officers and staff members of the department not to reveal information or documents of any nature to any person not authorised to receive and also to the media.
