Amit Shah on the defensive?

Amit Shah on the defensive?

With Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity growing by the day and opinion polls predicting an AAP victory, BJP Chief Amit Shah already seems to have switched to defensive mode.

“The Delhi elections are not a referendum on the Modi government. We do not believe the opinion polls and BJP will surely end up with a massive majority,” said Amit Shah.

Venkayya Naidu backed the latter. “The polls in Delhi are to elect a Chief Minister and Mr. Modi is not contesting the polls,” said Naidu.

Despite the BJP throwing an army of top leaders into the campaign and Modi himself canvassing for the Party, Kejriwal for some inexplicable reason in the last week or two has surged back into the limelight.

Kiran Bedi who was supposed to be a master stroke has actually ended up being a liability for the BJP.

The biggest advantage that Kejriwal has is that the minorities and Dalits who have always voted for the Congress are now backing AAP.

So, can Amit Shah pull off yet another miracle, this time in Delhi?
