ABN Targets YSR Biopic 'Yatra'

ABN Radhakrishna leveled his guns on the upcoming biopic on YSR titled Yatra which has Mamooty in the lead role.

The newspaper of Radhakrishna carried an article in the main page in which he said that YSRCP was not that keen on the film Yatra as the party feels the film will make people associate YSR with Congress and not the YSRCP.

The minorities in the State who are Congress supporters voted for the YSRCP in the last election but are now miffed with Jagan because of his tacit understanding with the BJP, says the newspaper and adds that the minorities after watching Yatra might abandon Jagan and go back to the Congress fold.

First of all, there is absolutely no way that the people associate YSR with Congress anymore. Had that been the case, Congress would have won at least one seat in the last election. They see the heir to YSR in Jagan Mohan Reddy who is as hard working as his father.

Second, the minorities any time of the year will trust YS Jagan more than the TDP. Till date, there has not been a single Minister in the TDP cabinet from the minority communities. This wasn’t the case in YSR regime.

Besides, saying that the minorities will abandon Jagan because of his alleged secret pact with the BJP is downright funny when one considers that Babu who came out of the NDA in 2004 citing Godhra again teamed up with the BJP in 2014 only to quit again.

Therefore, an opportunist Radhakrishna speaking of secularism and morals is like the devil chanting the scriptures.

The actual reason why the TDP and its stooges like Radhakrishna are scared is that if Yatra goes on to become a success, public sympathy will naturally gravitate towards YS Jagan.

Besides, Yatra will focus only the Padayatra of YSR and the makers are going ahead in a timely and organised fashion.

On the other hand, there is utter confusion about Balakrishna’s biopic on his dad NTR. Teja who was roped in a director initially ran away from the project and at one point, Balakrishna announced that he would direct the film himself.

On hearing this, POGO TV came forward to acquire the satellite rights but withdrew after Krish was again named the director.

Gandhiji said, “If someone slaps you on one cheek, show him the other.” It is rumored that Krrish was slapped by Balakrishna during the making of Gautamiputra Satakarni.

The young director has taken up the biopic on NTR to offer the other cheek. Tadhasthu!
