A Wasted Day In Jagan's Padayatra

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been going ahead with his Praja Sankalpam padayatra braving all odds for over a month now.

The biggest trouble he has been facing is to give a break to his padayatra every Friday so as to return to Hyderabad in order to attend the trial in the ACB court in connection with the alleged disproportionate assets case.

He has to travel extensively for over 400 km to come to Hyderabad and after attending the court, he should return to the same place where he discontinues the padayatra.

This is no easy task and is physically and mentally arduous. Except on one Friday, when he developed blisters to his feet during his padayatra in Kurnool, Jagan has been regularly coming to Hyderabad every Friday to religiously attend the court trial.

On this Friday, too, Jagan travelled all the way from Anantapur to Hyderabad to attend the court trial, but to his utter dismay, the judge himself did not come to the court.

He is said to have gone on leave and hence, the trial has been adjourned to next Friday. Having no other option, Jagan immediately left for Uppanasana Palli in Anantapur to resume his padayatra.

Had the court authorities informed Jagan on Thursday itself, he would not have taken so much trouble to come all the way to Hyderabad. But they seem to have lacked any courtesy to do so.

But Jagan is mentally prepared to take all these irritants into his stride and go ahead with his padayatra, sources close to him said.
