At the Telangana formation day celebrations, directives have been apparently issued to all the district collectors to highlight the 'Swacch Bharat' campaign undertaken in a huge manner by the TRS government.
After one year of governance, that the TRS is banking on the Swacch Bharat campaign as its crowning glory indeed presents a sad picture of the situation.
Do they have nothing else to show for their year in power? Mission Kakatiya and water grids programmes are not something that will be completed overnight.
As such, credit for those programmes can be taken only after their completion. Neither the farmers nor the students have anything to boast of in the new State.
So, the TRS is relying on ‘Swacch Bharat’ now which is not even their idea. It belongs to the BJP and for lack of any other achievement; the TRS will now be trumpeting this campaign even on Telangana formation day.
