Reiterating that the Manjunath commission had been set up to include the Kapus in the BC category, the TDP said that the commission will complete its work in nine months and asked the community to not take any hasty steps in the meantime.
CBN also asked Mudragadda Padmanabham to meet the Manjunath commission and pitch for a positive recommendation. Now this is a rather strange request from CBN.
He should have considered all aspects of the reservation issue comprehensively before promising it to the Kapus.
What did he promise them prior to the elections? Inclusion in the BC list or a commission that will look into their grievances?
It is Naidu who should speak to the commission on behalf of the Kapus. They don’t need to give any explanations after being promised by CBN.
