Thanks to Goshamahal MLA, Raja Singh, the Shiva Sena party might get its first MLA in Hyderabad soon.
After Raja Singh’s open defiance of Kishan Reddy and his stance on the beef festival, speculation is rife that he might be switching to the Shiva Sena Party soon.
The Shiva Sena is also looking to take on the MIM as it felt challenged by the MIM entering the electoral fray in Maharashtra and that too successfully.
Kishan Reddy’s term is set to end soon and there is a possibility that he might not get an extended term as the state BJP President. Instead, he might be made the BJP floor leader in the Assembly and the President post might go to K Lakshman, a BC candidate.
Raja Singh said that Kishan Reddy was promoting his own caste and that there was absolutely no encouragement to other communities in the BJP under the latter. But if Kishan Reddy steps down, will Raja Singh stay on in the BJP?
The beef festival and its fallout will give a clearer shape of things to come as regards the political future of Raja Singh. But even if he joins the Shiv Sena, the BJP votes of that constituency will only go to Shiva Sena.
It is the Hindu votes which will get split up whereas in the case of MIM in Maharashtra, the Muslims who had previously been voting for the Congress went in for the former this time around.
