All elections till now were fought by KCR on the plank of 'Andhra hatred'. But he has changed his tune with the GHMC elections. It is the 2BHK scheme now which is his catchword.
By promising 2BHK houses to all and threatening to exclude those who voted for other parties from the scheme, he reaped a windfall in the GHMC polls. And he is replicating the same strategy in Khammam too.
The Khammam Municipal Corporation polls will be held soon and KCR has thrown voters there too, the carrot of the 2BHK scheme.
The Telangana sentiment was not very strong in Khammam and TDP and YSRCP registered victories in the Assembly polls here. Therefore KCR strengthened himself by luring the opposition parties to his fold and making TDP strongman Tummala Nageswara Rao, a Minister in his cabinet.
The 2BHK scheme is now expected to generate a clean sweep for TRS in Khammam too.
