Swamy All Praise For Jagan, Attacks Naidu!

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday showered praises on YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that he was immensely delighted to meet the young leader.

Swamy, despite being a BJP leader, has been defending Jagan and refuting the allegations against the latter for promoting Christianity at the cost of Hinduism.

He even differed with the local BJP leaders who have been accusing Jagan of perpetrating attacks on temples.

The BJP MP met Jagan at the latter’s camp office in Tadepalli on Wednesday and appreciated his leadership.

“I had a long association with Jagan’s father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and I am now immensely pleased to meet Jagan,” he said.

He also congratulated the YSRC president for achieving huge success in the elections, including the recently concluded local body elections.

He, however, refused to comment on the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant but reminded that he had opposed privatisation of Air India.

Swamy filed a civil defamation suit against Andhra Jyothy Telugu daily for Rs 100 crore, for carrying reports that would damage the reputation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

“Andhra Jyothy must be under the impression that Chandrababu Naidu would save it. But I am not going to leave the daily as well as Naidu. It is spreading canards against Jagan Mohan Reddy deliberately,” he said.

Swamy declared that Chandrababu Naidu had lost the people’s support and there was no way he can come back to power.

“I won’t tolerate if Naidu and his supporting newspaper try to create rift among the people in the name of religion and caste,” he said.
