Sakshi Denies Plans to Sell the Stake

Sakshi Denies Plans to Sell the Stake

Responding to the story published by GreatAndhra.com, the Sakshi Group has issued a statement saying that there is no truth in the report.

The company said it has no such plans of selling the entire stake to the media group belonging to Dainik Jagran. The report is unfounded, the management team said in a statement.

Sakshi is the second largest circulated Telugu daily and its news channel Sakshi TV is also quite popular.

There is a peculiar situation in Telugu states. All the major news channels (except T News and Sakshi TV) and two leading newspapers Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy are more or less mouth pieces of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Only, after Sakshi came into the existence that YS Jagan and the opposition started getting a platform to communicate with the people. Before the Sakshi was launched, it was totally one-sided reporting by “Yellow Media.”

Sakshi is YS Jagan’s strength.

If Jagan and his family sell out their stake in Sakshi, they will lose the main weapon. Why would we sell the paper and TV when both are running successfully and liked by Telugu people? asks the Sakshi group.
