A section of society feels that Ramoji Rao taught the values of journalism and made many responsible journalists. Many say that Ramoji Rao used to ask his journalists not to publish any one sided news.
But these days, Ramoji Rao's Eenadu itself is stooping down to new lows in reporting the news.
A story ran in the daily with the title "ORR ki uri" stated that the development in the state of AP is getting halted. The actual news is that the government confined the 78 Km bypass road in place of the 189 Km proposed Ring Road around Vijayawada and Guntur. When this is the news, how can the heading be so negative?
Had it been 189 Km ORR, then how much would it cost for the land procurement? Can the Central Government build the road with its fund? Or should the state bear all the costs? How can the story be published without giving answers to all these questions.
On the other hand, comparing this with Hyderabad ORR is another blunder. The major part of the land used for Hyderabad ORR is not fertile. But that is not the case with Vijayawada- Guntur region.
During the land procurement for Hyderabad ORR in YSR's reign, the same daily wrote that the government is grabbing the lands with tyranny. But now it is saying that the 189 km ORR cannot be stopped in Vijayawada-Guntur region.
The daily also implied that the development is not happening in Amaravathi? Who said that Amaravathi is not the capital? It is one among the three. Why can't the newspaper mention this?
During the reign of Chandrababu many projects were planned and announced. How many among them were fulfilled? The daily published the story without taking any version from the government.
There are many such incidents where this daily is functioning in the interest of a political party hiding facts and presenting one sided stuff. On a whole, the daily is writing venting out hatred on the ruling party.
