Shakalaka Shankar has established himself as a comedian. And like all comedians, he has turned a hero. His maiden film as hero 'Sambo Shankara' has hit the screens.
Let's find out about the film...
Despite his short height, Shankar (Shakalaka Shankar) who hails from a village called Ankalamma Palle in Kadapa district, appears for SI exams. He gets selected, but a guy in the police department makes sure that he doesn't get the job.
Meanwhile, Shankar finds that his village has many issues due to corrupt village sarpanch (Ajay Ghosh).
How Shankar who gets the 'unofficial' job of a police officer from the district police officer, sets things right in his village and also finds out who the real villain (that is final twist in the story) is what the film is all about.
Shakalaka Shankar as a 'hero' is really comical. His overt expressions, gaudy make-up and gravity-defying stunts provide good laughs, albeit unintended. Such shoddy acting.
Karunya Chowdary as heroine neither has looks nor acting skills.
Nagineedu and Ajay Ghosh give performances that you don't even find in D-grade TV serials.
Technical excellence? What is that? Not a single technician has put in decent show.
Silly and idiotic scenes
Once in a while, we get to see movies that become a stellar example for what a bad movie really is. There have been many badly made movies in the recent past, but this one takes the cake.
Right from the beginning to the end, everything in the film is amateurish, silly and what not. The director's ideas seem to be stuck in 1960s. There is no continuity or link to one scene to another. Just a patch up of sequences are edited together and passed on as a movie.
A police officer (played by Nagineedu) asks Shankar to save the people by taking charge unofficially! What is more, he gives his own police jeep to this 'unofficial' police officer.
In the next scene, Shankar goes to a ration shop and busts the irregularities in civil supplies. Then he comes to know that school's roof has collapsed. So, he urges people to donate money to rebuild and they do. In next scene, he gets the chance to hoist the flag at the school.
In immediate next scene, he watches a woman (a farmer's wife) killing herself due to debts. He then gives a huge lecture about the plight of farmers to the Mandal Revenue Officer and the next day, the officer digs up bore well in one of the fields and all issues of all farmers are solved with that bore well!!!!
We are not joking or faking this. All these are shown in the film.
Shakalaka Shankar who is die-hard fan of Pawan Kalyan in real life wears a red towel that the Jana Sena leader adorns regularly. There is also a scene about the "greatness" of this towel and what it stands for.
This is undoubtedly the most badly made film that released in the recent times. It gives headache for sure for anyone.
Bottom-line: Totally Silly!
