US BO: Kantara Telugu Shows Total Domination

Surprisingly, the Telugu version of the Kannada movie ‘Kantara’ showed total domination at the USA box office despite new releases from South India hitting the theaters.

In its second weekend, the film grossed nearly $250k (only Telugu version). While the Kannada version grossed $917k in a month, the Telugu version collected more than $300k in just 10 days. 

‘Kantara Telugu’ is the highest-grosser among all the releases this weekend.

Vishwak Sen starrer ‘Ori Devuda’ didn’t attract Telugu audiences. The film grossed just over 100k dollars in the first weekend.

Karthi’s ‘Sardar’ though collected big money domestically, failed to show domination at the USA box office. It grossed just $190k. Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’ is turning out to be a flop. The first weekend’s gross stands at $135k. 

Manchu Vishnu’s “Ginna” created a new record by collecting the lowest amount among the recent Telugu releases. It grossed just $1521.

Chiranjeevi’s “Godfather” ended its run with $1.29 million. Mani Ratnam’s “PonniyanSelvan” added another 90k dollar over weekend, and its cumulative gross stands at $6.5 million.
