Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi opened to disastrous talk all over. However, the film still managed to set Non-Baahubali2 record in Telugu states and overseas on its day 1. There is a considerable dip in collections from the evening of its first day though.
Screening shows from 1 AM on its release day has clearly misfired as the disaster talk spread like wildfire everywhere.
It has resulted in drop in the collections for regular shows which effected day 1 numbers to an extent. Thankfully the pre release buzz and advance bookings ensured very good opening in spite of the fall.
Meanwhile, buyers and exhibitors decided to stop screening mid night shows although the government of AP has granted permission to screen seven shows for seven days.
Jai Simha and Gang movies will replace Agnathavasi in many theaters from tomorrow.
Agnyaathavaasi buyers are now hoping that the film will hold at least until the festive period is over. But chances look bleak as the word of mouth is pretty bad.
