Puri Jagannadh, Charmi, Ram and entire team of iSmart Shankar and its buyers are extremely happy with the resounding success.
The film is already into profits and is set to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. While Team iSmart rejoices, there is one man who rues his decision of not investing in this film.
Dil Raju was approached by Puri Connects prior to the release of iSmart Shankar. They wanted to sell the film to Dil Raju for minimum profits, but the ace producer didn't have confidence in the film given Puri's recent track record.
Even Ram's poor form stopped Dil Raju from betting on iSmart Shankar. He didn't even buy the distribution rights for Nizam and Uttarandhra.
Dil Raju wouldn't let go of a potential hit film if it knocks at his door. He has totally underestimated the potential of iSmart Shankar and stayed away from it.
He would have made at least double the amount he had invested or maybe more.
Incidentally, Ram's previous film was produced by Raju and he bought the entire theatrical rights of Puri's last film Mehabooba. Ouch!
