Shraddha Kapoor, who rose to fame with Aashiqui 2 and has gone in for a drastic change of image to play a don in Apoorva Lakia's upcoming Haseena Parkar biopic, has another ace up her sleeve.
The actress has been romantically paired with Prabhas in his Bollywood debut, the action-drama Saaho.
According to film's producer, "Shraddha is the perfect choice for the role. We are excited to have her on board with us. Saaho is Prabhas's first film in Hindi and so it is very special for all of us. It is an ambitious project and will have some really high-octane action scenes."
Prabhas became a household name with Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015 originally made in Tamil and Telugu and dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, German, French, Japanese and English.
The sequel that released on April 28 this year released in over 9000 screens worldwide and became the first ever Indian film to gross over Rs 1,000 crore in all languages and the highest grossing Indian film of all time.
Saaho, Prabhas's much-awaited next, has already gone on the floors. It is being shot in three languages--Hindi, Tamil and Telugu--simultaneously.
A massive set has been erected for the same in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.Buzz is, it will also be shot in Romania and Abu Dhabi.
Produced by Pramod of UV Creations and directed by Sujeeth, the film will feature a score by ShankarEhsaan-Loy with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The technical crew is headed by DoP Madhie, editor Sreekar Prasad and production designer Sabu Cyril. International stunt coordinators will reportedly choreograph the action.
Post Baahubali, a number of actresses were keen to do the film but the makers felt Shraddha was a perfect fit. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the antagonist.
